Shoestring Singers commenced in 2004 and after seven great years of adventures in music and composing it closed at the
end of 2011. This website is for historical purposes and a memory of many achievements including wonderful friendships, musical
adventures, creativity (see and hear our songs on this website)and performances at aged care facilities and for the public.
We are a community singing group who sing for the pleasure of making music with others. There are no entry requirements. Anyone
who wants to sing with us is welcome. We are particularly relevant for people who have not sung before and specially those
who have been told not to sing! Experienced singers are treasured. We sing each Friday afternoon in school term. There are
no membership fees. Session fee is $4 and includes our cup of coffee afterwards.
Shoestring Singers is about having fun.
Singing our own songs alongside old favourites makes each Friday session a joy.
You can find out a lot about the Shoestring Singers on this website. You can hear us sing on the CD page. The Contact
Us page has a guestbook for your comments and feedback. For 2011 we are trying some new ideas, one is to sing sea shanties
for the first half hour.
